Ronald Falloon – 60’s Fashion Photographs

Member’s Private view Friday 14 March
Open to the Public Saturday 15 March until 26 April

This beautiful exhibition of 60s fashion features all the great models of the time, Twiggy, Jean Shrimpton and Pattie Boyd to name but a few. It captures the essence of the fashion revolution in London in the 60s. This wonderful exhibition is the work of photographer Ronald Falloon.

Ronald Falloon worked as a fashion photographer from his studios in Drury Lane for a variety of newspapers including the Daily and Sunday Express, The Daily and Sunday Telegraph and the Daily Mail and publications such as Tatler and Salut Cobains. It was during this time he photographed many of the icons of the 60s.

Later in career, Ronald became an agent for a variety of photographers and illustrators and was involved in the music business, working with one of his photographers, Karl Stoecker on early Roxy Music and Lou Reed album covers.

12 May – 7 June

Melvyn Gates, Shaun Stevens & Helen Talbot Beautiful paintings that have a rather dark tonal range, an implication of unsafe emotions and a deeper mystical connection. Explore several layers of meaning, depending on how you are prepared to interact with them. This exhibition will touch you and encourage you to explore your own ‘demons’.

Enter a world of mythical beasts and childhood imaginings. A world where whimsical tales are portrayed and creatures do battle as predator and prey. Follow these characters and interpret their fates. Found materials and scraps contribute to a faded aesthetic, lending a melancholy to the narrative. Handmade objects, exhibited alongside the work, appear as toys or relics from this imagined realm.
