To help keep everyone safe, we’ve made some changes at Ashcroft Arts Centre. We have introduced a number of measures in line with government guidelines to help manage our visitor numbers and ensure we maintain social distancing to protect you, our staff and volunteers. Please read on for information about booking your visit and what to expect when you are with us.
What we are doing to help reduce the spread of COVID-19
- Giving you a warm welcome at a safe distance
- Opening for pre-booked, ticketed activities and events only
- Using signage to help you maintain social distance
- Asking for cashless payment wherever possible
- Providing hand sanitiser for you to use
- Reducing capacities for activities and events

Please do not visit if you or any members of your household are showing symptoms of COVID-19 or if you have been in contact with anyone who has it. We also ask you to observe government guidelines before travelling to the venue. Information on how to re-book or cancel your visit is detailed on your booking confirmation.
Please note: Ashcroft Arts Centre is currently closed.
We are open for customers who have pre-booked for classes, workshops and live events, or for those who would like to visit our latest exhibition. Our standard venue and box office opening times are:
Monday – Friday: 9am – 5pm
Saturday: 9am – 1pm
The venue will also be open outside those times for some classes, workshops and events - please check specific bookings.
If an evening performance or event is in progress, Ashcroft Arts will not close at 10:00pm. However, customers will not be able to consume food or drink on the premises after that time.
Social distancing and hygiene
During your visit, we ask that you follow our guidelines on social distancing and hygiene to help keep us all safe. We continue to ask all customers to only book tickets for single households or support bubbles and, unless exempt, for customers over the age of 11 to wear a face covering at all times whilst in the building, when not consuming food or beverages. Disposable masks will be supplied or you are welcome to bring your own.
Please do not meet socially inside the venue with anyone who is not in your household or support bubble, and ensure you follow government guidance when travelling to and from, arriving at and leaving events.
Our toilets will be open to class, workshop and event customers only for two people at a time.
Café and bar
The café will be open when pre-booked classes, workshops and events are taking place, with a limited selection of hot and cold drinks and pre-wrapped snacks available to eat in only. Please wear a face covering in the café unless you are seated at a table.
Alcoholic drinks can only be served from 30 minutes before the start time for the performance, and must be consumed in the performance area. Please note, food and drink cannot be consumed at the centre after 10pm.
We’re passing on the VAT reduction on all applicable products. The reduction will be applied at the till when you make your purchase.
In accordance with government guidelines, we have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment to make our sites COVID secure and identify risk control measures.

The Visit Britain We’re Good to Go symbol shows that Ashcroft Arts Centre has followed government and industry COVID-19 guidelines and that we have processes in place to help keep everyone safe.
