Join contemporary dancer, Alana Jones for this fun adult dance class! Whether you’ve danced before or not danced at all, this class is a perfect introduction to contemporary dance held in a relaxed, supportive environment.
What you need: Comfy clothes and a bottle of water. We ask that all class and workshop participants wear face coverings*. Disposable masks will be supplied or you are welcome to bring your own. Please also be aware that changing clothes in centre is currently not permitted. Please arrive and leave the arts centre in the clothes you will be wearing to class.
Tutor: Alana Jones
Alana studied Dance and Culture at the University of Surrey, graduating with a BA (Hons) in 2014. During her time at university, Alana completed a year’s placement at Siobhan Davies Dance & Independent Dance during 2012/13. Alana has been a freelance dance teacher since 2016, teaching a range of contemporary and accessible classes for all ages for various companies across Hampshire.
Alana has also worked as a dance administrator, education officer and creative learning manager. She is also Chair of Trustees for Move Momentum, a dance charity based in Winchester.
Tickets: £32.50 for six weeks
