Breath and movement (Summer 2021)

In
this practice we will explore yoga based gentle, flowing movement alongside a
programme of coherent breathing and techniques based on Breath – Body - MindTM
as developed by Dr Patricia Gerbarg and Dr Richard Brown. Suitable for all experience levels, this class can also be done seated.

What
you’ll need:
Comfortable clothes, a mat and a
bottle of water, it may also be good to bring something warm to wear during the
breathing practice. Please be aware that fully changing clothes in centre
is currently not permitted. Please arrive and leave the arts centre in the
clothes you will be wearing to class. We also require participants over
the age of 11 to wear face coverings in public areas of the centre, unless you
are exempt. Masks can be taken off when class begins.

Sessions: One off sessions on 4th August and the 25th August from 11:30am - 12:30pm

Tutor: Christine Gorham

"I have been practicing yoga for over 20 years and I enjoy sharing my love for it by teaching others.  I feel that my friendly, down to earth approach to yoga helps to make it accessible to people of all ages and abilities.  I volunteer for Macmillan's Cancer Charity at UHS supporting the healing process with yoga therapy.

In my spare time I enjoy open water swimming and marathon running (very slowly)''.
