Join International tutor Sarah Waters to learn about ‘nuno’ felting (Japanese for fabric). You will design and produce your very own silk and merino scarf, using the wet felting method. Using silk fabric as a base you will be ‘painting’ with the fibres to produce a beautiful yet lightweight, scarf. Sarah will have a wonderful array of colourful merino fibres and a variety of silk fabrics for you to use. Suitable for all abilities.
All other materials will be provided.
Extra information for students: - Please bring a notepad and pen (a camera is also useful, but not necessary, for visual reference) and a plastic bag to take your work home in. Although we will be using soapy water you should not get ‘wet’ or need to wear old clothes.
