Whatever your level of interest, this fun, informative introduction to performing Shakespeare is for you!

Choose to work on a monologue or staging sections of your favourites as a group, this hour long workshop will develop your skills in deciphering and understanding Shakespearean language.

Tutor: Olivia Murphy

Olivia is an experienced teacher with over ten years of working in secondary schools, youth theatres and community settings. Two years ago Olivia formed her own company, Olivia Murphy Actors Company and currently delivers workshops to adults with learning disabilities, play readings in care homes as well as workshops to children and young people including a young company for another of our arts centres. Her workshops are designed to explore drama in a supportive and inclusive environment whilst enhancing mental well-being.

After her degree in Drama and Theatre Studies at University of Surrey, Roehampton, Olivia trained as an actor at the London Academy of Performing Arts. Acting work in TIE productions followed as well as performing in and producing a production of Feiffer’s People at The Old Red Lion, Islington. More recently Olivia has performed in productions at The Egg Theatre in Bath, The Rondo Theatre in Bath and Theatre Royal Bath. She has also worked on screen for independent film companies including Screenology in Bristol.
