On 30th September 2019 it will be 30 years since Ashcroft Arts Centre was opened by Dame Peggy Ashcroft!
To celebrate our 30th Birthday we’re presenting 30 special activities and events over the coming year, so keep an eye on the news pages and look out for the 30th birthday signs on selected events, classes and workshops!
We will also be celebrating by curating an exhibition, which will be displayed in our café and bar later in our Spring season. The exhibition will be made by the Ashcroft community and will present a collection of stories, memories, photos and anecdotes from participants, audiences and artists. If you have something you’d like to contribute to the exhibition please contact us at Ashcroft@hampshireculturaltrust.org.uk,we’d love to hear from you.
Over the past 30 years the centre has hosted thousands of performances, workshops and classes; it has provided a platform for artists of all genres to perform and exhibit; to develop ideas, hone skills and collaborate. It has been a safe place for participants to learn, experiment, create, build confidence and make friendships. Throughout that time our audiences, participants and supporters have been vital to the success of the arts centre. We have been fortunate to welcome back many artists regularly but also loyal and supportive audiences and participants who feel like part of the family! We hope to welcome you to the centre in this special year to help us celebrate and look ahead to the next 30 years!
