The Lucky 13s originate from the South East of England. Formed in 2019, they set out to create and perform original music that was swamped in soul and that melds vintage rhythm and blues with modern-day storytelling. The band features frontman Jamie Johnson’s compelling, gravely and symphonious vocals over an effortlessly deep pocket, melodic and exciting guitar work from award winning guitarist/composer Dudley Ross and energetic and catchy lines from The Lucky 13s horn section.

Powerful, soulful & uplifting, The Lucky 13s draw inspiration from the musical roots of decades prior while sounding undeniably relevant today, captivating audiences with brand new music to complement their vibrant and exciting live shows. They continue to solidify their reputation as one of the most engaging and exciting acts on the road today.

In March 2019 they released their four track EP Breathe, which was recorded live at Rimshot Studios and well received by fans and critics alike. Now signed to Hillside Global, The Lucky 13s will be releasing an 11 track album in 2021, which promises to be full of catchy, thought provoking and well-crafted songs.

Event: Friday 7 October, 7.30pm
