This pottery workshop is designed to be a fun and engaging introduction to pottery techniques including wheel pottery.

You will each learn to throw a pot on the wheel and hand build something out of clay. All items created on the day will be taken back to the Perfectly Potty studio to be finalised. The final products will be dropped off at the Ashcroft Arts Centre four weeks after the workshop - participants will be informed when the items are ready to collect.

For ages 6+

What you need:

All materials included, but please wear clothes that you don't mind making a mess in and/or an apron.

Artist:

Melissa Alexander owns Perfectly Potty, a pottery studio just outside Winchester. She specialises in throwing stoneware on the potter's wheel and is open for workshops most days. The studio opened in 2016 and, due to the popularity of The Great Pottery Throwndown, more and more people are visiting and having a go at throwing some pots.
