Having rampaged across the UK and Europe on a sold-out 19-date tour, Jim Jones All Stars are set to unleash their debut album, ‘Ain’t No Peril’, on September 29th. A 15-date UK tour follows, kicking off at Ashcroft Arts Centre.
A bubbling swamp curse of unholy rhythm, Jim Jones All Stars is the latest project from garage godfather Jim Jones (Thee Hypnotics, The Jim Jones Revue). Formed during the pandemic, it features The Jim Jones Revue members Gavin Jay and Elliot Mortimer, drummer Chris Ellul from (The Heavy) veteran punk blues guitarist Carlton Mounsher.
Recorded at Memphis Magnetic Studios in the hazy heat of Memphis, Tennessee, ‘Ain’t No Peril’ is an album infused with the spirits of Southern soul, rock’n’roll, rhythm and blues, gospel and the sheer all-out power that Jim Jones has come to be known for.
