These pilot activities have been made possible by funding from Energise Me and Sport England.

Energise Me and Sport England are coordinating the Investing in Communities project. The project is supporting groups across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight in the wake of Covid-19. It aims to reduce widening inequalities in physical activity and sport.

Some communities are less likely to take part in regular physical activity. And the Covid-19 pandemic and cost of living crisis have compounded this. It has led to challenges for voluntary groups too.

Investing in Communities is tackling these inequalities head on. Our aim is to help community organisations to recover and grow as we emerge from the pandemic. And to enable the people they support to move more.
