The Ashcroft Art Centre run a weekly children's art class for ages 6-12.
Our class is designed to inspire your children to become young creators, your child will learn about different artists and their different techniques whilst having a go and creating their own masterpieces.
From September 2023, we will introduced Arts Award
Arts Award takes children and young people on a creative journey, exploring the arts world, discovering their potential as artists, developing leadership skills – and gaining a recognised qualification along the way. Open to anyone aged 25 or under, this unique set of arts qualifications builds skills essential for success in the 21st century: Creativity and communication, along with problem-solving, reflective-thinking and confidence.
During the term your children will learn core skills concentrating on the following each term:

Spring term - Painting skills

Summer Term - 3D design and sculpture
They will work with different artist who will lead short projects and masterclasses on their specialist areas. Giving your child a broad range of skills, experience and allowing them to explore their creative sides whilst most importantly having fun!
Please bring bottled water and wear clothes you don't mind getting messy!
